I enjoy making necklaces that reflect a sense of geography and history: perhaps found buried in some field, or in an ancient tomb or chamber. Each bead is hand-made and hand-decorated and therefore unique in shape, texture and colour. Using a variety of pigments, metallic powders and foils to decorate the surfaces, they are then sealed, making them totally waterproof.
The small glass seed beads are contemporary and sourced from all over the world, providing a comfortable link between the past and the present. And I like to think of my necklaces as 'wearable art' rather than jewellery!
